Overview

The project addresses key challenges identified through research, including difficulties in recognising AI bias, limited accessibility, ethical design gaps and a lack of technical capacity among educators and creators. These challenges currently restrict the ability of digital learning environments to fully support diverse learners.
D2CIN responds by integrating practical, human-centred approaches into its activities, empowering education and creative professionals to design fair, adaptive and inclusive AI tools. By strengthening skills, awareness and innovation capacity, the project contributes to making digital education more equitable and accessible for all.

Project Experience

Personalized Feedback Navigator: Avatar is an online tool designed to help educators and freelancers assess how inclusive and bias-aware their conversational AI solutions are. It provides clear, personalized feedback on accessibility, ethical use, and content design, supporting improvement in real working contexts.

The Accessible AI for Education Handbook: Offers a simple, practical guide for designing inclusive AI tools. It covers key topics such as reducing bias, improving accessibility, ethical AI use and inclusive user experience, with easy-to-follow steps and best practices.

The Inclusive AI Impact Pilot and Outreach Events: Focus on testing and sharing the project results. Through interactive workshops and launch events in Germany and Bulgaria, participants try out the tools, give feedback, and exchange knowledge, helping spread inclusive AI practices across Europe.

Mimic’s Contribution

Conversational AI R&D

Mimic leads the technical development of the Personalized Feedback Navigator, drawing on our expertise in conversational AI and digital avatars. The AI avatar is designed as an ethical guide that helps educators and freelancers identify bias and improve their skills in creating inclusive and accessible content.

Educational Outreach

Mimic works closely with education providers and experts  to support knowledge exchange around interactive storytelling and AI-assisted inclusive learning. This includes engaging 150 educators in hands-on activities to test and validate the project’s tools in real educational environments, helping bridge the gap between industry innovation and education.

Strategic Project Leadership

Working alongside Budakov Films Ltd, we are honored to co-develop the "Accessible AI for Education" Handbook. This collaboration allows us to contribute to the definition of new standards for Digital Diversity, ensuring that the project delivers practical, ethical frameworks that empower the vocational education community across Europe.
